Humanoid Robotics in the Recife municipal school system
One of the largest humanoid robotics programs ever implemented in a Brazilian public school system, featuring the NAO robot in schools across all the city's RPAs (Regional Policy Areas).
Contracted by the City of Recife, Somai implemented a robotics program with the humanoid NAO in municipal schools, in conjunction with the Department of Education and the Executive Department of Technology and Education. Part of the team was based at CETEC (Center for Education, Technology, and Citizenship), planning, executing, and evaluating services to the school units. The numbers below are from the official implementation report (April/2014 to March/2015).
