The context

An approved program is one thing. Ready-to-use material is another

SESI decided to restructure its portfolio of educational products and implement new technological education programs, aligned with maker methodologies, STEAM, robotics, and artificial intelligence applied to basic education. The focus: learning recovery and strengthening partnerships with municipal education networks.

Between an approved program and ready-to-use material for the classroom, there's a body of work that almost no educational institution has the internal structure to handle: instructional design, lesson sequences tied to the official matrix, recording scripts, student and teacher workbooks, activities, questionnaires, and training for those who will implement it all.

The pedagogical team of a unit manages, coordinates, and executes regular activities. Writing material for robotics, maker culture, computational thinking, and AI applied to education, with coherence across five different products, requires a different specialization and dedication.

O desafio

Five products, a single standard of quality

🔹

Convergence

Five distinct products, each with its own logic, audience, and workload, converging into a single standard of quality and identity.

🏃

Self-guided course

Students progress through the tracks independently, and the teacher has intermittent contact — the material must stand alone without constant mediation.

Traceability

Each lesson explicitly states the BNCC skill and SAEB matrix descriptor it supports, without attributing by thematic affinity.

📦

Entire chain

Core material, video script, recording slides, activities, questionnaires, formatted workbook, and instructor training — not just fragments.

🇷🇧

National standardization

Compliance with national benchmarks, as the program is replicable across Regional Departments.

The five products

🎓

Pedagogical Training for Instructors

To transfer methodology and standardize application across units.

Method

How the material is constructed

Anchored in official frameworks, not intuition. Each lesson states the BNCC skill and the SAEB framework descriptor that supports it. A concept is only linked to a track when the declared descriptor names it. Thematic proximity is not enough.

Verifiable source. The theoretical foundation relies on official documents and recognized academic references, with traceable bibliography and a clear distinction between what underpins the theory, what is used in lessons, and what serves for teacher enrichment.

Written for the actual consumption format. Self-guided courses require text that doesn't assume classroom continuity or daily monitoring. Recommendations for teachers consider occasional meetings, not a weekly routine with the class.

Consistent standard across different authors. Each product originated from distinct authorship, with its own organization. Editorial work converges everything into a single structure, a single language, and a single visual identity.

Cyclical review, with client involvement. The material undergoes successive rounds of content, style, and conformity review, with requests from the SESI team incorporated version by version.

Why Somai

Chosen through market research

🔎

Technical and Methodological Operator

SESI mapped the market and identified Somai due to its history in educational technology methodologies, robotics, and maker culture.

🏭

History in the Industry System

Partnership with SESI Regional Departments, with technical certificates issued by the units themselves.

🧮

Multidisciplinary team

Instructional design, active methodologies, educational robotics, computational thinking, maker culture, and AI applied to education, all under one roof.

🛠️

From concept to final file

Somai writes the material, designs the track, produces the script, assembles the slides, lays out the notebook, and trains the instructor. A single point of contact from start to finish.

Proprietary, non-licensed content

The material is developed for the client's program, incorporating the institution's identity and vocabulary.

How to get started

Five steps, from diagnosis to evolution

01

Portfolio Diagnosis

Assessment of existing products, what needs to be created, and what needs to be restructured.

02

Pedagogical Architecture

Definition of learning paths, workload, reference matrix, and consumption format.

03

Editorial Production

Materials, lesson plans, scripts, slides, activities, and questionnaires, in batches validated with the client's team.

04
